Who this applies to

This site is published by Dr. Kester I. H. Crosse II, MD, alongside the book Open Doors (TIA Publishing, LLC). It applies to everything at this address.

What stays on your device

The workbook tools save your progress in your browser's local storage. That data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else — it never leaves the device you typed it on. We cannot read it, and it is not backed up. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.

None of it is a cookie, none of it identifies you, and none of it is used for advertising.

What you send us on purpose

Four forms on this site send a message by email. Each one is submitted only when you choose to submit it:

• Signed copy requests — your name, email, edition, quantity, destination country, and any inscription or note you add.
• Bulk order quotes — your name, work email, organisation, phone if given, quantity, edition, delivery date, payment method, purchase-order number and tax-exempt status.
• Speaking enquiries — your name, email, organisation, phone if given, event date, audience size, budget range, format, location and message.
• Your TEEE Score by email — your email address and the four scores you set.

These are delivered to us as email using Resend, an email delivery provider. They are not written to a database, not added to any marketing list, and not sold or shared with anyone. They are used to answer you, and kept in the ordinary course of correspondence.

Please do not send payment card details, government identifiers, or health information through these forms. Nothing here needs them, and there is no facility to handle them.

Payments

No payment is ever taken on this site. Every purchase link sends you to Amazon, which handles the transaction under its own terms and privacy policy. Signed and bulk copies are quoted by email and paid for separately — you are told the total before anything is charged.

Analytics

No analytics or tracking scripts currently run on this site. No cookies are set. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does.

Outbound links to Amazon may carry an affiliate tag, which tells Amazon the visit came from here. Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens after you follow one of those links.

Data we display from elsewhere

The career explorer shows occupational data from O*NET (U.S. Department of Labor), which is served from this site and involves no request from your browser to them. The international tab queries ESCO (European Commission) live, which means your browser contacts their servers directly when you search there. Book covers on the further-reading shelf come from Open Library but are stored and served from this site.

Young people

This site is written for college students, recent graduates and early-career professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through a form, contact us and it will be deleted.

Your choices

• Delete your workbook data — every tool has a Clear or Reset button, and clearing your browser data removes all of it.
• Ask what we hold — if you have written to us, you can ask for a copy of that correspondence or ask us to delete it.
• Use the site without sending anything — every tool, the assessment and the career explorer all work without submitting a form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
